With HotelWebSurvey.com we will attempt to monitor changes
in perception of eMarketing and eDistribution and use these
perceptions into the future to shape education and strategy.
Does spending money make sense if the investment is neither
best practices or obsolete soon after completion. By assessing
different respondents over time we can monitor the impact
and acceptance of new e-marketing initiatives and share this
knowledge to identify trends into the future.
Objectives for the initial Hotel
Web Survey are:
• To measure the satisfaction of hoteliers with their
own hotel website or vs. their branded hotel web site
• Gather an assessment in terms of the direction of
eMarketing budgets and attempt to determine where dollars
are being spent
• Monitor the proportion of hotel bookings coming from
online channels
• Establish benchmarks to measure costs of creating
and maintaining hotel web sites relative to the satisfaction
with meeting the objectives of the site
• Establish the extent to which different types of hotels
are utilizing different eMarketing techniques and their success
• Evaluate market perceptions toward various reservation
systems and their business models |
